The parish council website residents can read, and the clerk can run.
Upload the agenda and minutes as Word documents and they become pages anyone can read on a phone, with the PDF alongside. Your admin tells you what’s due before each meeting. Built on the GOV.UK Design System, so it works for every resident and looks like a council website should.
- £299 a year, or £29 a month. No setup fee, no VAT to add, no extras list.
- Free migration of your whole site, every PDF, and your .gov.uk domain moved or applied for
- Nothing to pay until your new website goes live
Provider closing? New clerk? Moving to .gov.uk? We’ll have you on a new, accessible website within days, and you pay nothing until your current contract ends.
Plan your moveMost council websites fail the people they’re for.
A resident on a phone wants the date of the next meeting, what was decided about the playground, and how to reach the clerk. On most council sites that means opening a PDF saved from Word, which a screen reader can’t read and a phone can’t show.
98% of pages across the 25 largest councils failed automated WCAG 2.2 checks in a July 2026 study by Recite Me, shared by the SLCC. The commonest failures were untagged PDFs, missing headings and inaccessible tables in meeting papers.
Meeting papers
How it usually works: The clerk saves the Word document as a PDF and uploads it. The PDF has no tags, no headings and a table nobody can navigate. On a phone it’s a thumbnail you pinch at.
How ParishPages works: Upload the Word document. It becomes a page anyone can read.
Headings, lists and tables come through properly, on any screen. The PDF is still there as a download for anyone who wants it.
Finding things
How it usually works: A home page of news nobody reads, with the minutes four clicks away under a menu called “Documents”. Residents give up and email the clerk.
How ParishPages works: The next meeting, the latest minutes and the clerk’s contact details, on the home page.
The GOV.UK Design System: big links, plain English, search that works, nothing in the way.
Keeping it right
How it usually works: The accessibility statement is from another council, the councillor list is two elections old, and the Transparency Code items are wherever the last clerk put them.
How ParishPages works: Your admin tells you what’s due and what’s missing.
Worked out from your meeting calendar and the Transparency Code list, so the statement, the checklist and the dates stay true on their own.
Your month, on one screen
A clerk’s website work runs on the meeting calendar: the agenda out three clear days before, the draft minutes after, approval at the next meeting, notices that expire, councillors who change in May, the accounts every spring. Your admin home works all of that out from the dates you give it and tells you what’s due.
- Upload the agenda or minutes as a Word document. Two minutes, and it’s a page.
- Agenda due dates, draft minutes awaiting approval and expiring notices, listed when they’re due
- The Transparency Code items, with what’s published and what’s missing
- An accessibility check on every change, and a statement that updates itself
Seven things a clerk asks before changing website supplier
“Can residents actually read it?”
Yes, on any phone, with any screen reader. Minutes and agendas are web pages, not just PDFs, built on the GOV.UK Design System to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested on every change. Your accessibility statement is written for you from what the site actually does.
“What’s the real price?”
£299 a year, with no VAT to add. No setup fee, no per-component charges, no yearly accessibility “MOT”, no hourly admin rate. If a quote has an extras list, it isn’t ours.
“Who moves twenty years of minutes?”
We do, free. We copy your whole existing site, sort every historic PDF by year and meeting, and forward your old address so nothing residents have bookmarked breaks.
“We’re mid-contract.”
Start now. We build and migrate straight away, and you pay nothing until your new website goes live, usually the day your current contract ends, so you never pay two suppliers at once. One annual invoice, paid by BACS.
“Will it look like a council website?”
Yes, deliberately. The GOV.UK Design System’s components, with your crest and a village photo where the crown would be. Built for parish councils under £100k precept, and nothing else. No themes to choose, nothing to design.
“What happens when I leave?”
Your successor gets a free training call, like you did. Every new clerk does, for as long as the council is with us. The admin tells them what’s due, so nothing lives in one person’s head.
“Have I published everything I’m supposed to?”
The Transparency Code checklist is built in. Your admin home shows what’s published, what’s missing and what’s due next, so the internal auditor finds nothing you didn’t already know about.
See your council on it before you decide. Free.
Tell us your council and your current website. Within three working days we’ll build a private preview with your content and send you a login so you can try the admin yourself. No setup fee, no obligation, and nothing to pay unless you go live.
- Step 1You tell us about your councilTwo minutes, in the form.
- Step 2We build your previewFrom your current website and public details, in three working days.
- Step 3You try itUpload a set of minutes. Add a notice. See it on your phone.
- Step 4You decideYour preview becomes your website on the date you choose. Nothing to rebuild.
Your preview is private: it has a banner saying it isn’t your live website, and search engines can’t see it. It stays up while you decide. We copy public information from your current website to build it, because you’ve asked us to.
Moving is our job. You check the result.
Four steps, days not months, about an hour of your time in total. Your current site stays live until the day you switch.
- Step 1You give us your current web addressWe read the site, count the PDFs and come back with a plan and a go-live date that fits your contract.
- Step 2We build it and move everythingPages, councillors, notices, and every agenda and set of minutes you’ve ever published, sorted by year and meeting.
- Step 3We sort out your .gov.uk domain and emailWe move your .gov.uk domain with your registrar, or apply for one if you don’t have it yet, and set up email as part of onboarding. All included.
- Step 4A training call, then you go liveThirty to forty-five minutes with the clerk. Then the switch, on the day your current contract ends, with the old address forwarded.
How does your council’s website do for residents?
Give us your council’s web address and we’ll send you a short scorecard: whether a screen reader can read your latest minutes, how the site works on a phone, whether the next meeting is findable, and what the Transparency Code says you should be publishing that we couldn’t find.
Plain English, whoever your supplier is. Something to take to the next meeting. If it’s all green, we’ll tell you that too.

Your .gov.uk domain and email, set up as part of onboarding
Every councillor should have their own council address. We make that happen without becoming your IT department.
Your .gov.uk domain
.gov.uk domains are held by Cabinet Office approved registrars, who control the records. We email yours with exactly what to change, and chase it. Expect a few days’ delay; we plan around it. Don’t have a .gov.uk domain yet? We apply for one for you, with an approved registrar. Included in the price.
We configure the email records on your domain and recommend a low-cost provider that councils already use. You hold the account; we hand over the settings. We don’t host mail, and we don’t set up phones and laptops.
Managed mailboxes
Coming later
A mailbox for every councillor at £20 a year each, tied to your councillor list: add a councillor and the mailbox exists, remove one after the May elections and it’s closed after a retention hold.
Questions clerks ask
Can residents actually read it?
Yes. Minutes and agendas are published as web pages from the Word document you upload, with real headings, lists and tables, so a screen reader can read them and a phone can show them. The PDF is alongside as a download. Every site is built on the GOV.UK Design System to WCAG 2.2 AA and checked with automated tests on every change. We don't call anything “WCAG certified”, because there is no such thing.
Are there councils using it already?
ParishPages is new, so the honest answer is that the first councils are being set up now and we have no customer sites to show you yet. That's why the preview is free: you see your own council on it, try the admin, and pay nothing unless you go live.
We're in a contract until next year. Can we start now?
Yes. We build and migrate now, in days, and switch on the day your current contract ends. Your preview is free, and you start paying the day your new website goes live, so you never pay two suppliers at once.
Our minutes go back twenty years. Will they really all move?
Yes, as part of the price. We copy every document from your current site, sort them by year and meeting type, and check the result with you. Old documents stay as PDFs; new minutes are published as web pages from the Word document you upload, with the PDF alongside.
What does the clerk have to do each month?
Upload the agenda before the meeting and the minutes after it, as Word documents, and add a notice when there is one. Your admin home works out the rest from your meeting calendar: when the agenda is due, which minutes are waiting for approval, which notices expire, and what the Transparency Code still needs. Most of the work is the same as emailing a document.
What does it cost in year two?
£299 a year, the same as year one. No setup fee, no VAT to add, no leaving fee, no extras. If you leave, you get a full copy of your pages and documents, and we help move your domain.
